Our History
Brunswick Area Indivisible (BAI) was formed following the 2016 election as part of the national Indivisible movement. Early leaders including Jackie Sartoris, Carol Nelson, Anne Ladner & Donna Chale established BAI as a local platform for civic engagement grounded in peaceful advocacy and community participation.
After an initial period of activity, during the first Trump administration , the group experienced a natural decline for the four years of the Biden Administration. With the re-election of Trump, the threat to democracy revived interest in Indivisible participation.
